The Mystery of the Palm Prints

As I stood in an elevator, I found myself examining a pair of palm prints that had been left on the stainless steel wall. The palms were slightly smaller than my own (yes, I actually held my hands up to compare the size, and no, no one else was in the elevator to witness my insanity) so I theorized the prints probably belonged to a woman.

I wondered why she would stand with both hands raised to eye level (eye level for me at least, and I’m average height) and lean into an elevator wall (the elevator only travels three floors). This set off a whole series of “what if” scenarios…most of which freaked me out.

I took the stairs on my return trip.

  1. The suspense author thinks scary, freaky things that make her not want to take the elevator. The erotic romance author thinks elevator sex.
