Writing Can Be Murder

“Make it Work”

Yup, I’m blogging about Project Runway again.

First — Jerrell was robbed (yeah, his dress was, um, a bit…overenthusiastic, but that’s him). How does the guy who won the last regular challenge (heck he won 3 out of the 13 challenges, pretty darn good imho) not make it Bryant Park?  He was robbed, but he gets huge kudos for his grace while he left.

But that’s not really what I’m thinking about today. I’m thinking about Tim Gunn’s signature “Make it work” phrase. I’ve been applying it to my own work (writing) lately. Instead of just throwing up my hands every time I get stuck (I don’t really throw up my hands, I DO bang my head into my desk, or the occassional wall, which DH finds to be quite disturbing)  I’ve been hearing Tim whispering, “Make it work. Make it work.”

Making it work, is hard work. A lot of hard work.

Thanks Tim!
