Writing Can Be Murder

Planes, buses and automobiles

I love to write in them all. What is it about being in a moving vehicle that gets the creative juices pumping?

  1. I can think in a moving vehicle. But that’s about it. I can’t read, can’t write, can’t even look at a map in a car, bus or airplane. I can’t even read in the elevator.

Now, if they made a way I could write in the shower! Then I’d be cookin’!

  2. You should try writing on a boat =) That does a good job, too. Cruise ships are full of inspiration ;P

I usually am fine for reading in moving vehicles, but it all depends on light and text size. If there’s a beam of sunlight going right across my page, especially if its smaller text, I start feeling ill and headache-y. But if its overcast and even lighting, with respectable text size, I’m fine.

And I wholeheartedly agree on writing in the shower. That’s when you need to get a waterproof microphone of some kind and dictate it for later.
