Bottle Shock — how did I never hear of this movie?

Watched a little film called “Bottle Shock” this wknd. Terrible title, great cast (Alan Rickman, Chris Pine, Bill Pullman, Freddy Rodriguez and on, and on, and on) and an uplifting story about following dreams (in the context of California vs. French winemaking circa 1976).

Not the best independent film I’ve ever seen, but certainly better than a lot of the blockbusters that pass for good movies.

  1. I’ve looked at this movie a few times in the video store. I love Alan Rickman and Bill Pullman. I’ll have to rent it next time I want a movie.

Speaking of movies and Bill Pullman… Have you ever seen The Zero Effect? Awesome movie. I think you’d like it.

  2. I haven’t seen The Zero Effect, but now it’s on my netflix list — thanks for the recommendation!

Have you ever seen Waitress? (Keri Russell, Nathan Fillion, Cheryl Hines, Jeremy Sisto) One of my faves that no one’s ever seen.

  5. That was a surprisingly good movie. The characters had good quirks.

  6. Quirky characters and lots of pie — I was pretty sure I was in heaven.

Sad story goes with it — the writer/director was murdered (before its release, I believe).

Yes, you can always count on ME to brighten your day…or not.
