I get that the majority of the Emmy viewing audience does not give a fig about who actually CREATES the storylines and dialogue their favorite characters spout, but I do, and I don’t blame these writers for being pissed that they’ve decided to drop the categories for writers from the Emmy broadcast (although the Academy will still magnanimously dole out the awards off-screen — big of ’em, esp. when you consider that without writers NO ONE IN TV WOULD HAVE A JOB!!!!)

What? These upstart writers wanted more money, now they want recognition on national TV too? What next? The people behind the scenes should be content to remain behind the scenes, after all, they should feel fortunate just to be associated with the beautiful people. Shouldn’t they?
I could go on, but my tongue is planted too firmly in my cheek at the moment.
