Writing Can Be Murder

I wrote the synopsis.  I wrote the first quarter of the book. And it sucked. (I am SOOOO hoping my agent never got around to reading it.)

All of it — okay, not ALL of it. Most of it.

So I’ve ditched my WIP (even the scenes I really liked). I’ve started over from scratch. Keeping only my villian, my title, and my central question.

Having spent FOREVER writing a new opening scene (all of 689 words) I now fear the new WIP sucks too.  I can only put down so many versions in a month…

  1. Fear not! Like a Phoenix a new WIP will arise from the ashes of the old.
