Frustration and hope

Not the best of weeks. I’m frustrated on multiple fronts. Off and on, I’ve been ready to give up on a number of goals.

And then there’s the Dog of Death who is just a #$%^ing font of overflowing hope. Every time I stand up he hopes it’s because he’s going to be fed. Every time I roll over he wags his tail as though he hopes I’m going to pet him. Every time he barks at a passing person, or dog, or deer, or groundhog, he seems to be saying, “I hope you see me! I hope you want to play!”

Wish I could be more like the dog…

  1. It’s not the constant hope that makes dogs enviable. It’s the fact that they can instantly forget life’s disappointments.
