Mmmmm! A Yummy Week.

C laid out a birthday bounty for me (complete with pie!) and I had my first knish! Note to self — buy more knishes! (thanks C!)

I made corned beef and cabbage since there was a corned beef eater in town for a visit. I love corned beef…yes, I know it’s horrible for you, but once a year it’s a terrific treat!

I’ve got a recipe for poached eggs in tomato soup that I”m eager to try this week.

What’s yummy on your plate?

  1. Tried to get AW some Cheerios now that he’s allowed to try finger foods, but our supermarket was flooded and will be closed indefinitely. Boo. I love my supermarket!

  2. I made a beef and veggie stgir fry last night that turned out pretty good. Even the kids ate it, and Sunday I splurged on making a quiche – that’s all gone now. Quiche doesn’t last long in my house.

  3. Cyndi – I’m officially mourning the loss of knishes and apple pies.

Jennifer — Was it a crustless or crusty quiche? What did you put in it?

  4. Crusty quiche – I’m bad, but I love the crust. I always make Quiche Lorainne, bacon, eggs and swiss. Nobody else around here will look twice at a quiche with veggies in it.

  5. I’m partial to veggie quiches myself…
