Reading, watching and listening 6/9

The beauty of a cruise is that you can binge on books.

Last week I read:

— the first two Lisa Lutz “Spellman” books — thanks to those that recommended them!!! — what a hoot. Can’t wait to read the next two.

— two James Patterson “Alex Cross” novels — sure they weren’t as good as Kiss the Girls or Along Came a Spider, but Alex is comfort food for me.

— Harlan Coben’s THE INNOCENT — I wish he’d set his books in a fictiional town. I know too many of the places he references and often find myself distracted by reality.

— And I listened to Stephen King’s ON WRITING — I read the book years ago, but it was kind of cool to listen to him reading his own words.

Listening — last week it was to the sound of the ocean…this week it’s the chirping of birds…both are nice

Watching — Saw the season finale of JUSTIFIED last night…a damn near perfect season imho…so much so that it deserves its own post.

So what has been entertaining you???

  1. Reading: Just finished the second DEXTER. Loved it.

Listening: Absolutely nothing. Though I do have several earworms burrowing.

Watching: Just discovered DEADLIEST CATCH on the Discovery Channel (yes, I’m always late to the party). Who knew crab fishing could be so exciting?

  2. The next Dexter book is on my TBR list.

As mortifying as it might be to admit this — I’ve spent way too much time watching Billy the Exterminator lately.

My current earworm is My Country Tis of Thee — get it out!!!!!!!!!!
