Reading, Watching, Listening, Writing 8/11/10

READING I only read one book this week. The evil twin committed the heinous acts. I HATE evil twins…so I’m not telling you what book it was.

WATCHING Two movies!

1) SHRINK — odd little film starring Kevin Spacey. Different, depressing and disjointed (there’s a wordplay in there if you’ve seen the film). I’m not sure whether I’d recommend it, but it was nice to watch something that didn’t feel like paint-by-numbers

2) NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 (the antidote to SHRINK) Silly, stupid and entertaining (tho I must admit I was really overtired when I watched it which may have colored my reaction)

LISTENING SOOO freaking excited that I can stop listening to Torchwood music. Looking for light pop suggestions (yeah, like there’s such a thing as heavy pop music?)

WRITING Celebration time. I’ve finished the requested revision of one novel and now get to dive into a new book. I love that new book feeling!

Your turn. What’s been entertaining you?

  1. R – Just finished Kiss the Girls ( OMG!) I had to put it down sometimes, I am a REAL WUSS, loved it though. I thought I may have a mini heartattack during some parts, that will be blamed on YOU! šŸ™‚ What should be my next Patterson though? Really enjoying this suspense/thriller thing- or another Author? Since I am still waiting for the sequel to my fave with the scarey “TRUST” .

L/W – FREAKING DISNEY! Justin Beiber, Jonas Bros -uggghhhhh —cousins two adorable daughters are here. Although one of them LOVES showtunes ( and yes I am that geek too) she is only 4 and she and I are singing Thouroghly Modern Millie, Les Mis and Phanthom songs! She loves loves them! So her mom is happy someone can geek out with her this week.

W – lol lol lol —but Congrats to you on your revisions! Go you! have fun with your new project!

Ate a Mozz and Tomato sandwich last night totally thought of you, peppers are slightly red, so in about a week…… šŸ™‚

  2. ….oh also being very entertained by my boys and a neighbor boy riding bikes then stopping to me and asking ( for what I expected was a drink) me can they each pick a big tomato to eat munched on them like apples, this after I noticed the three little devils left not one cherry tomato that was ripe!

  3. Reading: Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich – it’s predictable but fun

Listening: Dance Inside by the All American Rejects. I bought this song after seeing a Torchwood fan video that used this as a soundtrack.

Watching: Looking forward to Eureka tonight, fell asleep during a Burn Notice DVD last night

  4. I haven’t watched or read anything all week. But I have a rendezvous to watch a movie on Friday, and I’ve got Elizabeth Hoyt’s latest waiting for my long ass plane ride(s) on Sunday.

I’m listening to a mix of Diddy, Timbaland, and Shakira. Yes, I occasionally bust a move as I’m writing at the cafe. I’ve got mad bar-stool moves. Today I’ve got my hoodie up, gansta style.

  5. Reading: YOU SUCK by Christopher Moore.

Listening: Just finished the audiobook of Jeffery Deaver’s THE BURNING WIRE.

Watching: Haven’t watched any TV lately, but I have a bunch of stuff saved on the DVR. I’m looking forward to a couch-potato weekend.

  6. Running — Have you read Cat and Mouse by Patterson? Enjoy your songmate!

Jennifer — I liked the first season of Burn Notice, but after that it became really predictable imho…so it might put me to sleep too. (Tho I love Sharon Gless in it!)

Kate — Bustin a move on a bar stool? You’ve got to put that in a book! šŸ˜‰

Jenny — I think I’d have a tough time listening to Deaver (tho I love reading him). Was it a Lincoln Rhyme book?
